Way2Ride NYC Taxi Mobile Payments

Way2Ride is great... when the cab has it, it's a vast improvement over credit card swiping and ability to email receipt is great. Wondering how long it will take for NYC subway to finally convert to mobile payments. No better way for the MTA to save some money on cards, vending machines.
