Jean-Marcel Nicolai has a proven track-record and over twenty years of content delivery experience including vision, strategy and execution. Jean-Marcel held different international executive management positions in companies like Hewlett-Packard, Atari and Disney Interactive Studios. For the last 12 years Jean-Marcel and his teams have delivered more than 300 innovative products on mobile, retail and online platforms, created digital platforms and ecosystems with high level of consumer engagements responding to up to date market environments and demands.

Jean-Marcel Nicolai is Chief Product Officer and Executive Vice President of Digital Products & Services for Centric Digital. Nicolai is responsible for defining, implementing, and executing the company’s overall product strategy and leading his team of 15 product design and development professionals to delight the company’s customer base. Nicolai’s primary goals at Centric is to create a positive experience for users while creating a product-centric internal culture of innovation. He brings over 20 years of experience in digital entertainment having built his career with the Walt Disney Company and Atari over the last 13 years and earlier in his career at Hewlett Packard.

Centric Digital’s clients include global corporations in the healthcare, finance, retail and media industries, as well as private equity firms, government entities, non-profits, start-ups and high-profile public figures. Before joining Centric Digital in 2014, Nicolai relaunched Microprose Software, a video game company that created software for online, digital, and mobile platforms.

From 2007-2011, Nicolai served as Senior Vice President and Head of Worldwide Product Development for the Walt Disney Interactive Media Group. He managed a 1,200-person organization across three regions of the globe that generated $650M in revenue. His team developed immersive gaming software released on console (Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft), PC, online digital, and mobile platforms. As the group head, Nicolai evaluated overall gaming quality and user experiences, influencing Disney’s creative and content development teams to generate the best games possible. Before joining Disney’s team, Nicolai spent seven years as the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Worldwide Content for Atari, re-organizing and improving the product development function during a turbulent time for the company.

Nicolai is frequently invited to speak at video game and digital entertainment industry conferences, most recently at the China Joy Conference in Asia, the British Academy of Film & Television Arts in Europe, and the Game Developer Conference & Electronic Entertainment Expo in the U.S. He holds a degree in computer science. Nicolai is an avid outdoorsman and nature enthusiast. He lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
